Did you
know about our 'Comfort Room' in
the Shubenacadie hospital?
 Sometimes
there comes a sad day in the life of your
beloved pet, when nothing more can be done and
you may face the difficult decision to grant
them a peaceful release from illness or old
age...At Fundy Vets we
understand this is an emotional situation for
both the owner and the pet, and with this in
mind we created our 'Comfort Room', a quiet
space separate from the clinical surroundings of
the exam rooms.
Here you will find a
comfortable spot to take a moment to calm your
pet and make their last moments less stressful
as you make your final goodbye. Removed
from the bustle of the main clinic, your pet is
given an initial dose of sedative to sooth their
fears before the actual injection of
barbiturates. Comfortable furnishings are
provided so you may pause for as long as you
need to deal with the sadness of your parting,
and a private exit to the outside allows you to
leave when you feel ready.
