Support Staff

Connie Scott B.Sc.(Agr.) - Office Manager

Connie grew up in the Truro area, attended the Nova Scotia Agricultural College and graduated with a bachelor of science, majoring in Plant Science, specializing in Agronomy.
She joined the Fundy Veterinarians team in 2001 after various positions, including a few in Calgary.
Connie oversees the day to day operation of the hospital; being in a mixed animal practice means no two days are alike.
Connie and her husband, Sheldon spend leisure time traveling on their motorbike and ATV; they have also explored the four corners of North America.  Connie is also greatly involved in her local fire service.  She is a past president of the Cobequid District Firemenettes Ladies Auxiliary, as well as being the current President of the Colchester County Firefighter Ladies Association (CCFLA).
Connie and Sheldon were fortunate to have shared their home with a basset hound named Bean Bag for many years.
Jane Matheson - Receptionist

Jane attended Success Business College in 1989, taking a bookkeeping course.
She later joined Fundy Veterinarians in 1998 as a receptionist.

Jane and her husband Stew share their house with their fur babies and have two grown children.
In her spare time Jane likes to read and spend time with her dogs.

Jackie Moore- Veterinary Assistant/ Receptionist

Jackie grew up in Truro, Nova Scotia. After completing her Bsc. Agr in Animal Science in 2006 at the former NSAC, she joined the team at Fundy Veterinarians. Jackie worked in the clinic for 5 years before taking a small break away from the practice to gain more experience with the dairy industry and ruminant nutrition. This fall she is happy to return to see all of the familiar clients and pets!

When she is not working, Jackie can also be found helping to rehome off the track Standardbreds, and promoting the breed as a great undersaddle mount! Jackie and her husband Andy spend most of their “free” time working around their 3 acre hobby farm. Whether it is looking after their horses Rico and Fiona, hatching chickens, collecting eggs, or picking apples, pears and rhubarb, there is never a boring day around the farm.

If that wasn’t enough, their 3-legged cat Chicken Wing, and their three dogs Tucker-Buddy, Kira, and Jazzie Fae keep things interesting
Grace Smith Weatherbee - Animal Assistant

Grace has been working for Fundy Veterinarians for 20 years. She started in high school and has been here ever since.  Her love for animals shows in her household with her 3 golden retrievers and 2 cats. She loves spending time with her dogs, taking them swimming and for walks. You will see her oldest and first dog Chase in the picture with her, he is 10 years old.

Dex - Greeter

Dex joined our Fundy family just before Christmas 2016!  He had a rocky start, being a foundling kitten left in a beer box with his littermates.  He was the last kitten so we decided to open our clinic to him as his new home.  It did not take him long to catch on to the daily routines of the clinic.  The front counter is definitely where all the action is.  He loves meeting each and every client who comes in, and loves welcoming their pets too!  Catnip, running water, balls, and toys all keep Dex going through the day!  He is a busy, happy guy and seems to be taking the role of clinic cat very seriously!
